ECS-US Web Guiding Sensors

ECS-US Ultrasonic Sensor enables precise position determination through mutual communication using high-frequency piezo sensors, creating an acoustic curtain.

Designed for precise position determination based on mutual communication, the ECS-US Ultrasonic Sensor utilizes mutually interacting high-frequency piezo sensors to create an acoustic curtain between them. The voltage difference between the outermost points of this curtain is set to 0-5 or 0-10 volts. When the material we want to perform edge control on interrupts this acoustic curtain, halving the voltage, we receive confirmation from the sensor that it is precisely positioned at the desired origin. If the voltage is not halved, the WGD web guiding device commands the edge control mechanism to move until the voltage is halved.
